ABOUT US

Engineering Planning & Management Consultants (EPM Consultants), established in 1987, is a private consulting firm. Our approach is to work in partnership with the foreign and expatriate firms, partners, our clients, governments and other stakeholders to develop cost effective, appropriate and sustainable technical solutions. We emphasize effective project management to ensure quality outcomes for stakeholders.

EPM Consultants is owned by Ms. Naheed Ghazanfar, a pioneer women engineer / planner, based in South Asia and in North America. She has worked in many other countries of the world and has contributed to the profession of engineering, planning, technical education and development by participating in various international and national projects and seminars. The associates of the firm are professionals with very high technical rating and a wide experience of working in different parts of the world.

EPM Consultants has been offering Technical advice and training to upgrade infra structure services and improve living conditions of refugees, shelter less people and inhabitants of underdeveloped areas. OUR BUSINESS

The firm has planned, designed, managed and monitored a wide variety of architectural and engineering projects in Pakistan and other countries. EPMC have also been advising, assisting and providing technical services, manpower solutions to expatriate consulting and construction firms. The firm and its associates have rich experience of planning, design, valuation, project management, and monitoring of large scale projects in the fields of architecture, buildings, highways, bridges and urban and regional planning, environment, community and social development. The construction work in developing countries especially Pakistan generates a host of problems and the firm provides adequate solutions in this particular area through project coordination and construction management.

The firm has worked on valuation and assessment of properties and assets for a number of telecom organizations industries, buildings and services. We have carried out survey, valuation and assessment of properties and assets including machinery and equipment for Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation, telephone Industries of Pakistan, Progressive Papers Ltd. and several other public, corporate and industrial establishments.

The CEO of EPMC, a woman engineer, is associated with a number of NGOs and CBOs and has conducted a variety of training workshops for housing, infrastructure, and sanitation and community development. The positive impact of this effort is visible in many villages, Katchi Abadis (squatter settlements) and disaster areas.

EPMC provides project management, technical advice and assistance to foreign and expatriate firms to implement development projects, programs and activities. This assistance consists of project coordination, setting up local offices, monitoring projects, and providing hardware, software and human resource. It is difficult for the expatriate firms to set up local offices and operate in the social set up of less developed countries. We seek to provide ready- to- use office facilities with experienced technical and administrative staff and coordination between the client and the firm. Representing foreign firms, presenting their reports, preparing technical documents, conducting survey and field work and assisting in preparation of appropriate and economical solutions are some of the services offered by us.

 

OUR CLIENTS

Our Client include several expatriate firms, governments, multi-lateral financial institutions and aid funding agencies, which include the World Bank, UNDP, UNIFEM and other donor organizations. Since its inception EPMC has managed over 250 projects in various regions of South Asia and other parts of the world, on behalf of our clients
